Badgers Mount WI Celebrated For Community Work At Local Care Home
Members of the Badgers Mount Women’s Institute were celebrated for their dedication to community work with a special afternoon tea event hosted at a local care home.
The Badgers Mount WI met at Nesbit House Care Home, Orpington, where the ladies were welcomed into the home’s dining room for an afternoon of conversation, laughter and reflection on their work within the local community.
The group, which meets at Nesbit House for its monthly committee meetings, plays an active role in village life, supporting local initiatives, organising events and fundraising for a range of good causes throughout the year.
The visit to Nesbit House provided an opportunity to plan upcoming activities while strengthening ties with the local community.
Residents and staff at the care home were delighted to host the group, with Head Chef Aneil preparing an impressive selection of homemade cakes and sweet treats especially for the occasion.
Aneil said: “It was a real joy to prepare a selection of homemade treats and see our dining room filled with conversation, laughter and a genuine sense of togetherness.
“Moments like these truly highlight how food can bring people of all generations together and create meaningful connections.”
