A Very Special Visit From The Mayor Of Enfield
Hugh Myddelton Care Home welcomed the Mayor of Enfield Council, Councillor Margaret Greer, for a very special visit as part of their grand opening celebration.
During the visit, the Mayor officially named the floors of our care home and spent valuable time meeting our residents, speaking with their families, and chatting with our dedicated staff team. It was a joyful occasion filled with smiles, meaningful conversations, and a strong sense of community.
Prior to the opening ceremony, the Mayor delivered a speech highlighting both the care home and the Enfield area, highlighting that Hugh Myddelton House was a winner of the Enfield in Bloom competition 2025, and expressed her confidence that the home is on track to achieve gold status this year.
Residents Ambassador, Rosa Bertolino’, also shared her thoughts on the day, saying:
“This is a very big visit from the Mayor. I feel truly honoured to meet her here at our home. It has made us all very happy.”
During the event, the General Manager explained the meaning behind the newly named floors, each chosen to reflect the values and environment of the home:
• Ground Floor – Lily’s Garden
• First Floor – Daisy Walk
• Top Floor – Rosewood
