Local Care Home Celebrates 30th Anniversary

A care home in Halesowen is celebrating three decades of providing care for its residents this month.

Woodview House care home marked the milestone with drinks and a buffet for residents, family and staff. Other guests included CEO of Shaw healthcare, Russell Brown, the Mayor of Dudley, Sue Greenway and soon to be Mayor, Councillor Andrea Goddard, who used to work at Woodview as a support worker.

The celebrations included a performance by Planet Kids Day Nursery, who are based next door to the home. The group performed a number of famous songs from when the residents were younger.

There was a special mention for support worker, Rosario Maristela, who has worked at the home for 15 years; as well as Aline Gasengayire and Abigayle Harding who marked their five year work anniversary as support workers.

Service manager, Vicki Napper, commented: “It has been such a wonderful afternoon celebrating this milestone with residents, family, staff and the local community. I’m so proud of the team here at Woodview and the dedication and commitment they show to the service.”
