A business and HR consultancy which started out in its founder’s spare room at home is bringing a new look to the sector and has just bagged the New Business of the Year award at the Examiner Business Awards.
The Little Group, set up by Stacey Crowther, has grown to occupy premises at Huddersfield’s striking 3M Buckley Innovation Centre.
The Little Group primarily works in the health and social care sector, focusing on quality care and the operation of care homes with special emphasis on elderly care. It also offers recruitment and HR within the sector.
“It was a real shock to win this award”, said Stacey, “to say we were over the moon is a real understatement. I personally am really passionate about this sector; we’re all about trying to make a difference and to be recognised as doing that is great.”
The Little Group has gone from being a vision, to a successful thriving business that is making a real difference to the lives of elderly people throughout the UK. They currently work alongside a number of care home operators assisting them in finding the right people for their organisation and working on maintaining quality and ensuring compliance within their homes.
Stacey said what made The Little Group different from its competitors was its team of staff. “The Little Group knows the day-to-day stresses and strains of running a care home and if a client has a problem, more often than not, the team have overcome it before.”
Of the plans going forward for The Little Group, Stacey said “we just want to push on with what we have been doing for the last 18 months, we are looking at increasing our client base and working with other care home operators to help them achieve their goals. We are also expanding our recruitment offer across all sectors. This is a very exciting time for us.”
