Aylesbury,-Local charity and award-winning care services provider, The Fremantle Trust, opens a new, luxury, specialist care home in Chalfont St Peter this November. Mulberry Court will provide tailored care from specially trained staff, experienced in caring for people living with dementia, in beautifully appointed surroundings. Fremantle’s philosophy is to provide care and support that recognises the uniqueness of each individual and its services are, therefore, designed to reflect individual needs in a sensitive and person-centered way.
The site, formerly occupied by Hibbert Lodge, one of Fremantle’s previously leased homes, is the first property to be acquired by the Trust. A complete overhaul and major upgrade to the property has been undertaken and the home is intended to become one of the most sought-after care services in the area.
Hazel Greenway, currently manager at a Fremantle home in north London but who lives in Chalfont St Peter, has been appointed manager at Mulberry Court. Hazel commented: “I’m really looking forward to leading and developing this wonderful new service. Mulberry Court will not only be a lovely place to live aesthetically, as it is set in a beautiful environment, but with trained, experienced and caring staff, we will ensure that people are able to live as well as possible with their dementia. We aim to promote active participation – to each individual’s fullest extent – in the daily life of our small community. We are confident that Mulberry Court will have all the attributes to make it one of, if not, the best care home in the area.”
Hazel, supported by Family Liaison Manager Yvette Thornton, together will provide prospective residents, and their families, with helpful information and support to assist them with the process of selecting and moving into a care home.
With 24 bedrooms, Mulberry Court will be home for up to 28 private residents including, if required, four couples, who need long-term as well as shorter term respite stays. Fremantle’s ongoing partnership with well-known local landmark and tourist attraction, Waddesdon Manor has, with the support of head chef, Shaun Blythe, been used to inspire the catering at Mulberry Court.
The home benefits from beautifully appointed interiors throughout, generously sized en-suite personal rooms, with WiFi internet access and secure, peaceful landscaped gardens outside, including a vegetable plot for green-fingered residents. Enquiries and reservations for places are now being taken, contact Yvette Thornton on 01296 737366 for more information, or to make an appointment for a care consultation.
