Carebase shortlisted for Care Employer of the Year Award 2013

Carebase, a group of care homes specialising in nursing, residential and dementia care in the South East and East Anglia, has been shortlisted for Care Employer of the Year Award 2013 at this year’s Great London Care Awards.

One of Carebase’s care home managers nominated the company for the Care Employer of the Year Award, which seeks to acknowledge and celebrate employers’ commitment to care and how this is achieving success in delivering an excellent service. Companies that are nominated should be able to demonstrate considerable acumen and entrepreneurial flair whilst at the same time have a sustained track record of delivering high quality care and managing improvement.

Being shortlisted for this award is certainly something to celebrate and Carebase is hoping to replicate 2010’s success when it won the same award. Carebase’s ethos has always been care and compassion for its residents, ensuring each and every one of them lives life to the full every single day. Its person centered approach means residents always feel special, as their individual needs are always considered and catered for. Staff training and continuous development is key to Carebase’s success.

Nicola Coveney, Managing Director at Carebase gave a personal view on Carebase’s shortlisting: “During my 23 year journey with Carebase my role has developed from frontline to boardroom thanks to Carebase’s extraordinary vision, inspiration and support. I now have the honour each and every day to uphold our vision and values and to recognise and appreciate the contribution that every team member makes.”

Judging will take place today, 3 October 2013, with Business Managers Dawn Sharp and Andrew Paul attending to represent Carebase. The finals of the Great London Care Awards will be held on 2 November 2013 at The Lancaster Hotel in London.
