Care UK Moves Up The Ranking In National Business League Table

angela Culhane with Sunday times 250 awardCare UK has been unveiled as the highest ranking health and social care organisation included the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table of Britain’s leading mid-market private companies.

Last year Care UK was ranked 36 but, on the list published in the Sunday Times last weekend,  it now ranks number 22.

The new ranking puts Care UK ahead of other well-know household names such as the Priory Group, Selfridges and the RAC.

David Maxwell, partner at Grant Thornton, the title sponsor of the league table said: “It is great to see private mid-sized businesses making such a positive contribution to the UK economy.

“Impressive leadership is ensuring they prosper despite tough trading conditions, with many companies expanding through their international operations and all making sure they retain and engage talented people in the UK.”

Mike Parish, Chief Executive of Care UK said: “This standing reflects the fact that we have continued to invest heavily in bricks and mortar, services and colleagues.  For example, we’re proud to have opened four brand new, luxury care homes in Edinburgh, Kent, Sussex and Worcestershire in 2013 with two more due to open later this year as well as expanding the healthcare service that we provide as part of the NHS.”
