Adaptawear

Adaptawear specialises in designing everyday clothes that are discretely adapted using magnets and easy-touch fastenings. Whether you are encouraging independent dressing as part of a rehabilitation process or looking to help someone stay independent for longer, Adaptawear’s clothes take the struggle out of getting dressed whilst maintaining dignity.

Adaptawear clothes also have significant benefits for carers. The design of the three styles of trouser means that there is a much wider opening for the legs making it less of a struggle to aid dressing. The open-back shirts and jackets simply slide up the arms making it easy to dress a person from a seated position. These adaptations not only reduce the time taken to aid dressing, but also make the daily task less painful and stressful for everyone involved.

The Adaptawear range includes all-in-one pyjamas with full side zips, a pretty flat-opening nightie and a front-fastening magnetic bra. There are tailored and casual trousers with a drop-front panel that are ideal for gents using a bottle from a seated position. The unisex weatherproof jacket can be put on in two halves and is ideal for wheelchair users.
