Barchester representatives will be on hand at stand [add number/area] with information about the multi-award-winning care provider.

As a company that employs more than 2,500 nurses to care for more than 10,000 residents living in care homes UK-wide, Barchester is proud of its nurses who provide high-quality, personalised care to older people with a variety of care needs. Nearly all of Barchester’s care home managers have trained as nurses too and have a wealth of experience with a mix of public and private sector backgrounds.

Professor Trish Morris-Thompson, Director of Quality and Clinical Governance of Barchester and Trustee of the Florence Nightingale Foundation, said: “As a qualified nurse and midwife, I understand just how important training is throughout your career. In a care home setting, I believe a nurse needs to be far more autonomous and I hope to help ensure that we give our nurses all the support and leadership opportunities they need to continue to do such a fantastic job!”

With its in-house business school, Barchester can offer its employees a variety of learning and development solutions, from vocational qualifications, to Masters in management. For nurses who already have a degree, Certificate, Diploma and Masters programmes in Clinical Leadership are available so they can continue their professional development. Barchester is also excited to announce its new BSC Nursing Studies programme to all qualified nurses within the company. It is a bespoke programme, designed collaboratively with the University of Wolverhampton.
