Argos Stores Join Forces With Volunteers To Collect Vital Funds For Dementia

Volunteers-To-Collect-VitalOn 18 January, Argos colleagues joined over a thousand volunteers to collect money at stores all over the UK and Ireland to transform the lives of people living with dementia.

Customers arriving at stores to check out the new Argos Spring/Summer range were all encouraged to make a donation to Alzheimer’s Society, Alzheimer Scotland and The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

The total amount raised will be announced in February, but in the meantime, we’d like to say a big thank you to all Argos staff and customers who gave generously. The money raised will really make a difference by funding local services to help people living with dementia stay in their own homes and be part of community life for longer.

If you’d like to help a loved one living with dementia to stay at home, then talk to your local service and read our top tips on living with dementia at home.

Together Alzheimer’s Society, Alzheimer Scotland and The Alzheimer Society of Ireland are Argos and Homebase’s charity partner 2013 – 2015. The money raised by Argos and Homebase colleagues and customers will fund Singing for the Brain® groups, Dementia Cafes and Dementia Support Workers around the UK and Ireland.
