Amore Care To Showcase Resident’s Artistic Talents

Amore Care, part of the Priory Group of companies is offering residents in its homes the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents to a national audience.

The company, which has care homes across the UK, has launched a competition to find the best pieces of artwork to include in its 2014 calendar and Christmas card.

It is inviting people living in its homes to submit artwork or images of crafts for consideration with the overall winner receiving a prize of £250.

The Amore Care calendar and card competition categories focus on the four seasons – spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Janette Malham, Amore Care Managing Director, who will judge the entries, said: “Amore Care prides itself on providing activities that either match our residents’ interests and hobbies or help them to learn new talents and skills.

“Many people who live in our homes already possess or have developed fantastic artistic abilities during their time with us. This calendar and Christmas card initiative is a way of recognising their creative talents.

“I am looking forward to seeing what images and crafts our residents submit.  I know from experience that we have some very artistically gifted residents and that deciding which entries to include in the calendar and on the Christmas card will be very difficult.”

Amore Care provides residents with the highest standards of care, comfort and support, within a safe and homely environment.
