Top Award Win For Braintree Care Home

Jane and Paul at The New DeaneryThe New Deanery residential care home in Bocking has picked up The Care Home Nutrition and Hydration Award at The Great British Care Awards’ East of England Region and will be progressing to the national finals in 2016.

The Care Home Nutrition and Hydration Award recognises The New Deanery’s outstanding approach to food and drink and the overall dining experience for residents at the care home.

Julia Clinton said: “The New Deanery team takes great pride in providing delicious and nutritious food and drink, and the team works closely with each resident to ensure they get really enjoyable meals, snacks and drinks, which fully support their overall health and well-being.

“Our Head Chef, Paul Westall, makes sure that our residents are given a choice of tasty and varied meals each day, ensuring local suppliers are used for our meat and fresh produce.

“The Great British Care Awards are hotly contested and I am delighted that we have won this accolade, it is true testament to work of the team at The New Deanery.”

The Great British Care Awards winners were announced on 26 November at a glamorous ceremony held at Norwich City Football Club.
