The Carer Is 10 Years Old! Nominate Your ‘Unsung Hero of the Decade’!

The Carer Is 10 Years Old!
Nominate Your ‘Unsung Hero of the Decade’!

Yes, in July we are celebrating our 10thAnniversary in publishing to the residential and nursing care industry, in print and digitally!

Readers will recall that we ran an “Unsung Hero of Care” competition for Christmas – as we said at the time there is often a rush to criticise the industry and never a rush to praise, and we wanted to offer a small reward for somebody who had gone that extra mile!

The response was overwhelming we had some absolutely heartwarming stories, from people in various departments contributing “above and beyond the call of duty” always ready always willing, working behind the scenes, commonly known as “the unsung heroes”.

To celebrate our 10th Anniversary we would like to hear from you about another “Unsung Hero” to be The Carer’s UNSUNG HERO OF THE DECADE. This should be someone who YOU FEEL has, between 2008-2018, “gone that extra mile” in your care establishment, and who you feel deserves recognition.

The response to our Christmas competition was so overwhelming it was almost impossible to pick a winner –  so much so that we added an extra couple of prizes. (Who’s to say we won’t do that again?)

So, do you have an Unsung Hero who has, any time within the last 10 years, gone beyond the call of duty? It could have been yesterday, last week, last year – any time!

A luxury getaway break for two is the prize!

There are over 360 hotels around the country to choose from, from a regal castle to a Victorian manor, a country escape or a city hotel, or maybe our rural retreat the choice will be theirs, all they have to do is choose a hotel and turn up!

How to enter? EASY!

Send your nomination to nominate@thecareruk.com

Closing date: August 21 2018 and Sylvia our Sales manager will pick a worthy winner!
