Local-Care-Home-Hosts-Home-to-Home-Christmas-LunchGreenacres care home in Meltham, operated by Ideal Carehomes, is hosting a Christmas lunch on 16 December for local older people who may be lonely or isolated and perhaps not have any family to visit at this special time of year.

Greenacres, which prides itself on being an integral part of the local community, is inviting older people to join them for a festive feast and to participate in various activities with the residents and staff at the home.

Home Manager, Paula Mountjoy, said “Since opening in July 2010, Greenacres have always prided ourselves on being an integral part of Meltham Village.  We have made many friends in the community and are very well supported by Meltham Town Council, the Church, Meltham Memories and Meltham Brass Band to name but a few.  We are delighted to invite our guests to enjoy a fantastic Christmas lunch rounded off by a lovely afternoon with wonderful entertainment.  Our residents thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and hosting events in their home so it will be a great day for everyone!”

As well as the lunch, the home will also provide the opportunity for visitors to participate with residents in various activities.  There will also be 50’s and 60’s music from Rick Fry and a chance to sing festive Carols.  There will be no charge for local people to attend, but places are strictly limited.

Greenacres care home is a high quality residential and dementia care home which provides a great place to live, making a difference to the lives of the people who live there.
