The volunteers from the Flying Futures National Citizenship Service (NCS) made the donation to The Beeches Care Home, on Green Lane, Newtown.
The money was raised through various events the 15 to 17 year olds organised as part of their social action projects with the NCS.
Despite having never visited The Beeches, they chose the home after researching care homes in the area.
Becky Porter, project coordinator for the Flying Futures NCS, delivered the cheque for £124, which will be used to treat the residents to a New Year 2018 meal.
She said: “The teenagers did some research on homes in Stockton and The Beeches impressed them. Our students wanted to put a smile on everyone’s faces.
“They thought, instead of bringing things to the home for the residents, the home could use the money to take as many people as possible out for a lovely meal.”
Helen Wood, home manager at The Beeches Care Home, said: “We were overwhelmed by the generosity of this group of NCS volunteers.
“We are so grateful they picked The Beeches to fund raise for.
“We plan to take the residents for a celebration meal to welcome in the new year in January 2018.”
