Cubs Bring Christmas To Care Home Residents
A Ferndown care home rang with the happy sound of Christmas carols and seasonal songs during a visit from the 2nd Wimborne Cubs.
The youngsters entertained residents at Colten Care’s Amberwood House with old favourites such as Good King Wenceslas, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Jingle Bells, accompanied by tambourines and a guitar.
Julia Hough from the home’s companionship team said: “The cubs came and sang to us last Christmas and the residents enjoyed it so much we asked them to come again.
“They all looked so fabulous in their uniforms and festive hats and they had also made sweet, little gift parcels for each of the residents, with handwritten notes to wish them a Happy Christmas.”
Julia added: “The residents joined in with the singing and clapped enthusiastically.
“It was a lovely evening and the cubs have already been booked to return next Christmas.”
