Circus Skills Top The Bill At Care Home Garden Party

A Dorset care home’s summer garden party hit the heights when a staff member brought along her aerial circus troupe.

Stephanie Jolliffe and fellow performers at Poole-based Secret Circus wowed residents and visitors at Colten Care’s Castle View home in Poundbury.

The acrobatic show, using hoops, was Stephanie’s first and proved a real hit with onlookers gathered for the annual party in aid of charity.

Emma Foxley, who works alongside Stephanie in the home’s Companionship team, said: “Everyone had a brilliant time and really enjoyed watching Stephanie and the others in the circus. It was an exceptional show and we couldn’t have asked for a better day.”

Among the party guests was Mayor of Dorchester David Taylor on one of his first official engagements since his Mayor-making ceremony at the Corn Exchange in May.

The event raised more than £150 for Castle View’s chosen charity this year, Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.

As well as Stephanie, the Secret Circus performers were Vikki Peat, Rochelle Carr, Fern Goodliffe, Irina Johnson and Chloe Bradwell.
