Care Home Residents To Benefit From Transformation Funds

Residents at two HC-One care homes will benefit greatly from Greater Manchester Transformation Funding awarded to them in partnership with Bolton Council.

HC-One’s Bolton based Four Seasons and Meadowbank House care home have been awarded with the Innovation Funds, which aims to reduce isolation and encourage social interaction in and around the community.

The funding means that the two homes can now plan to complete a sensory room, host pamperology sessions, help transport more residents with support needs on trips out, set up computer desks to encourage new life skills and interaction with family members living far away, as well as develop secure outdoor spaces for residents with dementia.

Jane Selkirk, HC-One Area Care Relationship Manager, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have received funding via Bolton Council and we’d like to thank them for the opportunity.

“The funding will allow us to implement a number of resources in and around Four Seasons and Meadowbank House, enabling our residents, regardless of medical needs, to live independent lives with plenty of opportunities to socialise within the community and further afield.

Bolton Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Cllr Madeline Murray, said: “We work with all care homes in the borough and are happy to support innovative schemes to enhance the quality of life for residents living with dementia and other complex needs.”
