Blooming Great Tea Party At The Beeches Care Home

BloomingStockton care home The Beeches held a Blooming Great Tea Party for local residents to raise funds for charity Marie Curie.

The charity provides care and support for people living with terminal illnesses across the UK.

Residents, families, friends and visitors were invited to make cakes, cornflake buns or other confectionaries or come along to enjoy the treats and donate.

The care home, which is part of the Hill Care Group, raised over £150.

Celebrities such as Louis Theroux, Adrian Chiles, Rebecca Addlington, James Martin and Gordon Ramsey have all supported the national fundraiser in the past.

Sue Abdi, manager at The Beeches, said: “It’s brilliant that not only can we support Marie Curie with a Blooming Great Tea Party but we’re also brightening our residents’ day up with tea, cake and visitors.

“All the money raised goes to a charity that provides vital care for people living with a terminal illness, so we would like to thank everyone who came along and donated to this very worthy cause.”
